Excuse You, You Have Some Shopping to Do.

“Where you got in the shower?” Legally Blonde

Do you remember when long dresses and cowboy boots were in– well this is SO much better than that. Take one Morticia/column/Grecian/Chican gown,

(Skaist-Taylor, Lanvin, Burberry Prorsum, Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Gucci, Lanvin, Haute Hippie)

top it with an unreal stole,

(Lanvin, Marni, Vintage, Lanvin, Lanvin, Miu Miu)

the sickest ankle boots,

(Dolce & Gabbana, Proenza Schouler, Marni, Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen)

ridiculous handbag,

(Charlotte Olympia, Lanvin, Marni, Charlotte Olympia, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Alexander McQueen)

and you’re good to go. Where exactly? Fuck if I know. Bar hopping? Excavating in Storybrooke? Food shopping? The Palace? White House? Your house? My house? Chic be with you. xx

Sick Fall Bags I Can’t Afford

“I’d rather walk down the street naked [than join Facebook].” Phoebe Philo

I thought in the interest of saving you trendy whores from another craze of Céline proportion, I’d share the first installment of sick fall bags that I can’t afford. Maybe you can. And maybe you can even afford to buy me one. Or six. Call me, let’s talk.

A Little McQueen in Between!

After the Carlos Campos show (which was by far the best presentation at Milk Studios yesterday)- I stopped over at McQueen to get a peek at their sickkk windows. These two gowns, utterly breathtaking (and yes those are shells)- have had no justice done to their beauty by way of my unedited photos (..for a change). And look, absolutely no detail was spared- even Manni’s nails are painted!

Here are runway photos of the gowns and some of my other favorite looks (even though the whole collection is one of my favorites- way to go Sarah Burton, now if only Bill Gaytten would take a design hint or two )

A Light that Never Goes Out

In honor of the continuous light that Alexander McQueen will always shine onto the fashion world, his meatpacking shop’s window features its own light that never goes out, the unbelievable “Mother” chandelier from Hudson Furniture Inc, along with a magnificent gown and dazzlingly iconic face mask.

Here is a look back at the genius gone too soon:
