Shaking In My Hermès Boots.

“[People] are moved by two levers only: fear and self interest.” Napoleon

Last night I overcame a major fear of mine. in Hermès boots. I rode on an upside down ride thing, aka the Ring of Fire at the shitty carnival by my apartment. Granted I had a full on panic attack beforehand, there were tears, and 30 min of post ride headache/nausea, it was semi totally worth it. After twenty faux years I can actually say I’ve overcome a major phobia. I feel like Peter Pan. Or Napoleon. Ready to take out on the world. of crappy carnivals. And although I’m not going to (nor will I ask anyone to shave my head post mortem)– I may launch a full scale attack on the many remaning fears I have. You should try it. It’s totally fucked up liberating.

A PC Moment for Manny

”I feature a man who’s big enough to pick me up and throw me across a room.” Babe Walker

Congrats to Hermès for being the only store to feature politically correct mannequins. And congrats to me for being the only one who still uses the word “feature” correctly in a sentence. I love that language is fluid and only made relevant by those who use it, but still. You don’t “feature” Oliver Peoples, blunts or brunettes. You love them. Rock them. Fuck them. Whatever. You do not however feature them.
